Terms of Use & End User License Agreement (EULA)
Welcome to FamilyConnect. Please read these terms carefully before creating or joining a household. By accessing or using FamilyConnect, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Apple Standard EULA
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and NDC Labs, LLC. If you downloaded FamilyConnect from the Apple App Store, this agreement supplements and incorporates the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA).
If you do not agree to all terms and conditions of this Agreement, you must not download, install, or use the application.
2. Household Administration & Invite Code Security
Household creators act as administrators with authority to manage member roles and household settings. Each household is assigned a unique, random 6-character alphanumeric invite code.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your household invite code. Only distribute this code to trusted members of your immediate family or household circle.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Zero-Tolerance Policy
Users may not post, transmit, or share any content in Family Lounge chat, photo attachments, daily prompts, or task notes that:
- Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or promotes self-harm.
- Constitutes harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or hate speech targeting any protected group.
- Infringes on any intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary rights of another.
- Contains spam, commercial solicitations, malware, or fraudulent schemes.
Any user found violating these standards is subject to immediate suspension, removal of content, and permanent ban from the platform.
4. In-App Moderation: Reporting & Blocking Tools
To ensure safety and empower family members, FamilyConnect provides native, instantaneous moderation controls directly in the chat interface:
Tap the Flag icon on any chat bubble. The flagged content is immediately hidden from your view and sent to household administrators for review and deletion.
Tap the Block icon next to any member's message. That member will be muted and all existing and future messages from them will be hidden from your feed. You can manage or unblock members anytime in Chat or Settings.
5. Expense Ledger & Financial Disclaimer
FamilyConnect provides an informational expense ledger and settlement calculator for convenient family budgeting. FamilyConnect is not a bank, licensed money transmitter, escrow agent, or financial institution.
All settlements recorded in FamilyConnect represent informal accounting between family members. FamilyConnect does not hold custody of funds or execute peer-to-peer bank transfers.
6. Account Termination & Data Deletion
You may terminate this Agreement and destroy your account at any time by selecting “Clear All Data (Clean Slate)” in Household Settings. This action permanently deletes your household and all member records from our servers.
